In 1980 Corner Hairdressing first launched.
Previously, it had been trading on Lindfield High Street as Cox's Hairdressers for over 30 years.
However, following the owners retirement the salon and premises were bought by Angela and her husband Peter.
Angela, who had already been working for Mr Cox for a number of years, wanted to make it her own. After a complete refurbishment the salon was renamed "Corner Hairdressing" in preparation for the grand opening.
In the 80's & 90's the salon was full of life. Customers would visit weekly to get there much needed Shampoo & Set and it was a familiar site to see the drier banks full of ladies enjoying a little bit of time to themselves, deeply engrossed in the latest copy of Woman's Weekly!
After 25 years successfully running the salon, Angela took a step back as a business owner to focus on her family however remained working part-time to continue doing what she enjoyed most. The shop was eventually renamed and Corner Hairdressing was no more.
On Tuesday 20th April 2021, following a 15 year break, Corner Hairdressing re-opened its doors.
The salon has been newly refurbished (Once Again!!) creating a relaxing and welcoming environment. With the world still dealing with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, every step has been taken to ensure that clients can feel comfortable and safe.
Whilst the salon has been given a refreshing makeover, some familiar faces still remain. Angela, Karen, Mo, Lauren and Kyra continue to strive to provide the best service possible for their customers in the village and surrounding areas.
So here we are...............
We would like to welcome back all our existing customers who have been with us for many years and we look forward to seeing new faces (heads of hair) and building long lasting relationships with them, into the future.
